Breakfast with Santa!

On December 4, 2010, hundreds of children brought their families to Pearland Town Center in order to get an early glimpse of Santa Claus! Santa arrived at the Pavilion at Pearland Town Center just before 8:00 and posed for pictures. provided by the Vineyard Church, in front of the big Christmas tree. A pancake breakfast was prepared by Jim Lawless Catering and there were also craft projects for the kids, provided by Peace Presbyterian Church who also brought their Christmas choir for caroling. Part of the City of Pearland's Hometown Christmas Festival, proceeds from Breakfast with Santa benefited Forgotten Angels. Special thanks to Pearland Town Center, Moody National Bank, HEB Plus, The Vineyard Church, Peace Presbyterian Church, Mimi's Cafe, Danny Frank and Pearland Parks & Recreation for making this such a great day! Pictures here!

One Life Church Helping Out at Christmas Time

One Life Church recently paid a visit to one of Forgotten Angels Group homes with a 12 ft. Christmas tree and all the trimmings. Church members had a good time decorating alongside the Angels and got the house all ready to celebrate Christmas! Thanks to the good folks at One Life and to Judy Van Cleve for the donation of the tree! More pictures here!

Liberty Mutual Invitational a Huge Success!

October 18 was a beautiful day at Golfcrest Country Club as nearly 144 golfers filled the field to benefit Forgotten Angels. Over $57,000 in revenue was generated, and with prizes and other in-kind support provided by Liberty Mutual, E-Z Line Pipe Support and many others, the total value of the tournament to Forgotten Angels was over $134,000!! Moody Bank put together the winning team which will be eligible to play in the Liberty Mutual Invitational Finals in March 2011. We can't wait to see how they do! Check here for more details on the tournament!

Learning Young to Give Back

Back in September, David Schmitt contacted Forgotten Angels to see if he could do something for us to fulfill a requirement of his 6th grade Enrichment class at Rogers Middle School. He came up with the idea of collecting some things that would be useful to the Angels, and upon consultation with us he set about collecting puzzles, books, toys and other educational tools. We very proud of his accomplishment and glad that he chose us to help with this project. Pictured below is David with his collection and some happy casemanagers!

The Angels love company, and they love food so it was definitely a match made in heaven! We're so grateful to Sheryl and Brian York, Sophia Maldonado and Brian Simmonds, Kelly and Vince for the work they put into plan this fun event for our residents. We hope this was the first of many picnics by ARR! Pictures here and here!
