The 7th Annual Forgotten Angels Golf Tournament, presented by E-Z Line Pipe Support Company, LLC, was held on October 19, 2009 at Golfcrest Country Club in Pearland. The weather was beautiful and over 100 dedicated golfers came out to support the Angels. Despite a lagging economy, over $53,000 was raised which will go toward construction of a specially designed house that will better accommodate 3 women living with very difficult physical challenges.
Dayna Steele kicked off the festivities, introducing Renee McGuire, Founder and President of Forgotten Angels. The Forgotten Angels Choir followed with a rousing rendition of Amazing Grace that touched the heart of all who heard.
Tournament Chairperson, Debby Palmer, had a wonderful day planned for the players that concluded with a Tour of the World dinner, featuring Mexican, Italian and Asian stirfry as well as a hardy assortment of desserts. Auction Chair, Deborah Reed, put together a fabulous silent and live auction, which raised over $13,000. Thank you to all our friends and In-Kind donors who made the whole day a success.

Million Dollar Shot: By random draw, Ron Attra was selected to take the Million Dollar Shot. Although he had a great game, as evidenced by his team coming in first on the second flight, he did not win the million dollars. The Angels were rooting for him, though. Ron's daughter, Ronda, is one of the three ladies who will be moving into the new house.
